Jerome’s Journal: Qilin — Page 38
An Encyclopedia of Cryptids and Other Mythical Creatures
The Qilin is a said to be a legendary dragon-like creature with a near limitless supply of Cryptid Energy.
No Qilin has ever been proven to exist, but Maurice Lamar swore he saw something that fit the exact description on the Island of the Forgotten. He said it lead him to the Temple of Leed’sar.
The Qilin is said to appear at the arrival of a sage who will lead the world into a new direction. Many people throughout history have said they have seen the Qilin, but only one who said that truly changed the world in an obvious matter.
The Great Guardian of the Mermaids said that his best friend Amando saw the legendary Qilin, and nothing was ever the same thereafter.
The Qilin can come in many different shapes and sizes, a lot of times resembling a hybrid between a dragon, an ox, and a giraffe. They have large wispy strands, and float through the air almost seamlessly. It’s said that the Lost City of Shangri-La is the Qilin’s creation spot, but Shangri-La is a myth in itself.
Shangri-La is a mystically filled harmonious valley, the ultimate utopia.
