Jerome’s Journal: Phoenix — Page 8
An NFT Encyclopedia of Cryptids and Other Mythical Creatures
I haven’t personally seen a Phoenix, but a few people I trust have. They say the Phoenix feels like a myth even when it was right in front of them.
Having a Phoenix as your Cryptid Partner allows you the ability of Reincarnation for life. From what I understand, there is an awareness of all of your past lives, but you are no longer the same person, your will and personality has changed, but the physical code of your DNA is the same throughout every one of your lives. It also allows you to remember past lives.
I once met someone who stated one of his lives was partners with a Phoenix, and he could remember every single moment of every single life he lived simultaneously as if time didn’t exist. The thought of that scares me, but that’s just how he lived his life. At first, I thought he was a wack job, but he didn’t care if I thought that, and then something changed. I just sort of believed him. The energy I was able to feel around him, the specific types of wisdom he would share.
The Phoenix has an eternal flame hugging their wings and feathers. If the Phoenix trusts you, the flames will not burn you, and instead feels comforting. Each Phoenix is only able to bond with one person throughout their long life span, and when their human dies, the Phoenix will spend the rest of their lifespan depressed. When they die, the flame takes over them, burning them into ash before a new Phoenix forms. Similar to the human reincarnated, the Phoenix is both the same bird, and a different bird entirely.
