A FlavorVerse Origin Character Bio
Maurice Lamar comes from a family of Chupacabra farmers. Originally, he shunned the lifestyle of the hidden world of Cryptids, but when a mysterious Cryptid known as the Leed’s Devil latched their soul onto his, staying away from Cryptids was no longer an option.
With the Leed’s Devil’s assistance, Maurice and friends find a mysterious island, lost for centuries, where he awakens sleeping Gargoyle Lord Amando from a long slumber. Here he found out that the Leed’s Devil was short for Leed’sar, a name of the Ancient Gargoylian tongue.
On the island, Maurice witnesses a large green dragon-horse flying high above the sky. Most believe he saw the legendary Qilin that day, a Cryptid that only makes itself seen to those who are going to bring a drastic change to the world, however positive or negative a change that may be.
Maurice is a quiet, well-mannered young man, but after meeting the Leed’s Devil, his attitude began to darken, and he started lashing out to the point of being unable to control his actions.
He was called to action by the famous Grover Holland, a well respected Cryptid Hunter who had been a family friend since before Maurice was born.
