Jerome’s Journal: Unicorn — Page 10
An NFT Encyclopedia of Cryptids and Other Mythical Creatures
The scar I have on my right shoulder is from a Unicorn. It charged at me with all its might. Of all the times I thought I was going to die throughout my life, this one the most terrifying. I felt the pure anger and rage through the Unicorn’s horn charging straight through my shoulder bone. If it hadn’t been for Bunny learning how to release himself from his Cryptid Crystal, I wouldn’t be here today.
Unicorns are hunted often for their horn; when turned into dust and ingested, it can energize people’s natural Cryptid Energy. I’m sure the Unicorn has seen many of its family members killed to have it act that way towards me. Such a majestic and beautiful creature, it’s no wonder it has become increasingly hard to find a Unicorn. Even experienced Cryptid Hunter’s believed they weren’t real.
I’ve only seen a handful of Unicorns because if you aren’t actively searching for them, you won’t find them. They stand at about 7 feet tall with incredibly toned bodies. Their horns are thick, and incredibly sharp. The Unicorns I saw all had a light pink skin tone, but I’ve heard stories of pure white ones in the past.
Most stories talk about the Unicorn’s Rainbow Mane, but after getting up close and personal, I remember that not being the case. Their mane’s are translucent, but when the light reflects off of them, it refracts into something that resembles a rainbow.
- The majority of Unicorns have been hunted for their horn. A single scoop of Unicorn Horn dust can sell for thousands of dollars.
