Benjamin Franklin was a famous inventor and curious mind a couple hundred years before Maurice and Jerome headed to Leed’s Point. Maurice saw a vision of Benjamin Franklin feuding with Titan Leed’s, using the newly found printing press to push out their own Newsletters.
Benjamin’s newsletter, ‘Poor Richard’s Almanac’, was one of the most popular and well-known of the era, and in it, he pronounced Titan Leed’s deceased, something that was later found out to be a lie.
The farther the feud went, the deeper the dark history of the Leed’s Family came into the light, and eventually Benjamin Franklin himself disappeared.
When Maurice unlocked the tall tower on the Mysterious Island, releasing the Ancient Gargoyle Lord, the entry way was guarded by a giant Basilisk, known to turn people into stone that looked into their eyes.
The Basilisk was able to escape, and Benjamin Franklin, younger than he was centuries earlier, was spit out. It is unknown how many times Benjamin Franklin had used this Cryptid Power, but the Basilisk was fully soul bonded to Benjamin Franklin.
